Our Mission & Beliefs
Mission
We believe that our mission as a church is to help people find their way back to God. Everything we do flows from this calling. We want to be a place where people encounter Jesus, experience His love, and are equipped to live as His disciples.
We live out this mission and model this culture by:
- COMING together weekly for worship. We gather as a family to connect with God, lift His name in praise, and love others as Jesus commanded (Mark 12:29–31). Worship is where we re-center our lives around Christ and remind one another that we belong to Him.
- GROWING and MATURING in Christ. We believe discipleship is a journey, not a destination. Through Sunday School classes, Wednesday night Bible studies, and life-on-life relationships, we learn God’s Word, deepen our faith, and encourage each other to live transformed lives (Romans 12:3).
- SERVING faithfully with the gifts God has given us. Every person has a role to play in the body of Christ. At Kingfisher Nazarene, we choose to serve in ministries that bless our church family and community, living as contributors rather than consumers (1 Peter 4:10–11).
- GOING into the world with the gospel. We are committed to the lifelong mission of seeing people come to know Jesus as Savior and Lord. Whether across the street or across the globe, we live with open hands and willing hearts to be sent wherever Christ leads (Mark 16:15).
Together, we are a church family that comes, grows, serves, and goes—seeking to make Christ known in Kingfisher and beyond.

Our Team
Zack Smithson
Senior Pastor
Pastor Zack comes to us after 14 years of ministry in Euless, TX. He, his wife, Corrie, and their five kids are excited to be back in Kingfisher. Zack served as the youth pastor in Kingfisher in the early 2000s and is excited about returning home. He is a native Oklahoman and a diehard OU Football Fan.
Pastor Zack’s life verse is Matthew 22:37-38, where Jesus states the greatest commandments. He believes that when we learn to live this
out, it changes how we begin to see and do life with those around us.
In his spare time, he enjoys reading, messing with the guitar, and watching his favorite sports teams, but his favorite thing is cheering on his kids in whatever activity they are involved in.
Joshua Mora
Youth Pastor
Pastor Joshua is a graduate of Southern Nazarene University with a degree in Pastoral Ministry. He chose to go into youth ministry to teach teens about the importance of Jesus and to help them recognize what Jesus is doing in their lives.
Joshua’s mission as a youth pastor is to teach youth what a godly lifestyle is supposed to look like and to help them live out that lifestyle. Pastor Joshua enjoys the fine cuisine of tacos, loves to play pickleball, and appreciates spending time with his family.
